Andrew Wordsworth’s presentation will explain how he reached new insights and understanding into his ancestor’s poetry, as well as his personality. Andrew Wordsworth, himself an artist who for most of his adult life has been on a quest to grasp in greater depth the poet’s art and elusive personality, uses the poetry as a starting point to explore Wordsworth’s many contradictions and his constant struggle to come to terms with them. Andrew Wordsworth’s new book, Well-Kept Secrets: The Story of William Wordsworth, launched to coincide with the 250th Anniversary, sheds a new and fascinating light on William Wordsworth and his world. At the end of the talk, there will be a short Q&A session with Andrew.
