Cockermouth Daffodil Day

250 years ago, William Wordsworth was born in the town of Cockermouth. A number of town organisations are working together to celebrate the life and works of the great poet.

The event will commence with a service at All Saints Church, the burial place of William and Dorothy's father, on Friday 3rd April at 7pm. This will be followed on Saturday 4th April between 10am and 4pm, with a celebration of poetry and music in the same church. Other events around the town on Saturday will include heritage walks, music at the Cockermouth Castle (weather permitting), by kind permission of Lord and Lady Egremont and shop window displays.

The beautiful market town of Cockermouth would welcome all visitors to our celebrations.
